Sharon Fox is the Head of Decontamination at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust, where she leads and assures safe, effective decontamination practices across the organisation, supporting the prevention of healthcare-associated infections. With over 30 years of expertise dedicated to patient safety, she has held senior operational, educational, and national leadership roles throughout her career.

Sharon is also Director of Education for the Institute of Decontamination Sciences, supporting the development of national education standards, workforce training, and professional excellence within decontamination science.
